Breast massages can be done in conjunction with a full body massage or can be a condition support by itself. The massage therapist will undrape one breast at a time, then palpate the area to congestion, restriction and possible needs for improvement and focus. A series of different techniques will be used to loosen up the section. The main techniques with proven results that are used are myofascial release, Gua Sha blading and vacuum cupping. Other techniques may be used during the treatment based off of your body's needs for that particular session.
Yes! Cupping and Gua Sha blading both help with reducing the visibility of the scars. Cupping will also help with enabling the scar tissue to act like healthy tissue and release the scar tissue from surrounding tissues or bones. Other techniques that can be used for reducing/removing nerve pain or to bring back sensation.

The therapist will use different techniques to bring fluid into the area. Hydrating the tissue and working out restrictions allow for a pliable breast.
With healthy breast tissue the focus is on preventing congestion and removing constrictions on the lymphatic path, while also being able to spot and changes to the tissue.
Vacuum cupping sounds exactly like its name. Using appropriate size cups and a small machine, vacuum cupping creates a super light pressure to direct fluid to or away from the breast. A constant suction sensation, with the therapist having complete control of the intensity level, provides a reverse massage experience by gently pulling up on the tissue.
Typically, you will not have cup kisses from this style of cupping. You may have what appears to look like a bruising but are in fact not real bruises but areas of stagnant blood. Stagnant blood tells us there is some kind of trauma still trapped in the area and that the blood does not know where to go. Cupping will help bring the stagnant blood out of the area and redirect it to a proper drainage point. This creates healthier tissues while reducing pain and discomfort, inflammation and the chance of further injury to the tissue.
Gua Sha is a traditional eastern healing method in which the therapist's tool-assisted strokes create a lifting effect on your skin, lessening toxins, promoting healing, and treating chronic pain and inflammation. Myofascial release is a type of gentle, constant massage, stretching and loosening contiguous structures allowing for more unrestricted motion.
For those who are looking just for breast/chest work, should start with a 30-minute massage. after the first treatment the therapist will let you know if you should continue with 30-minute sessions or longer based off of your personal treatment goals. To allow the therapist enough time to work the breast tissue, while also being able to release other knots and areas of tension in the body, 90 minutes would be for a full body.
It is OK to change your mind at any time during the massage. We understand that this is different and that you have been through a lot. Our first goal is to make you feel safe and comfortable.
